She's Got a Way with marketing! Pam is our visionary leader, building CommuniTech's reputation and growing the company at a fast pace.
A marketing professional with nearly 20 years of experience, Pam provides clients with strategic and tactical marketing solutions—to ensure they Get It Right the First Time. She has expertise in strategy creation and application, as well as all facets of marketing management and implementation.
For the Longest Time before founding CommuniTech in 1996, Pam held a number of executive marketing and creative roles at such Pittsburgh-area technology companies as: FORE Systems (now Marconi), IBM Transarc Labs, ANSYS, Inc. and National Draeger. Based on her experience in marketing for the tech sector, Pam is now an active educator in this area. And, as a third-generation woman entrepreneur in her family (Pam's mother and grandmother were also entrepreneurs), she was taught not to be afraid of risk-taking—continuing the family tradition of being a Modern Woman.
While she's certainly no Big Shot, she is founder of the Pittsburgh Marketing Summit, a venture created to bring marketing education and value to our regional organizations. She is on the board of the National Education Center for Women Business Owners at Seton Hill University, and the Clarion University Communications Department Advisory Council. Pam is a member of STC, the International Who's Who of Professional Management, and the Duquesne University chapter of Kappa Tau Alpha honorary journalism society.
Proving that she's All About Soul, Pam's accomplishments are featured in a nationally published business book, "The Soul of an Organization," authored by Richard S. Gallagher. Pam's River of Dreams came true when she was named as one of the 50 Best Women in Business by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and was selected as one of Pittsburgh's "40 Under 40," in recognition of the civic and professional impact she's had on the region.
Pam earned an MA degree in corporate communications from Duquesne University and a BS degree in communication from Clarion University of Pennsylvania. And So It Goes.

Bob Rak—Vice President of Finance and Information Services
Favorite rocker: Jimmy Buffett
Bob is not just a permanent resident-wannabe of Margaritaville, he has over 17 years of experience in the financial and information technology sectors. For the first 10 years of his career, Bob directed Hot, Hot, Hot accounting and financial analysis, as well as business system design, development, and implementation for software developer ANSYS, Inc.
He then made a Change in Latitude (not to mention, attitude) by joining CommuniTech as vice president of finance and information services. In his position, Bob uses his vast experience in the technology sector to help organizations maximize their business and informational resources to develop strategic marketing plans and Web-based business communications Come Monday.
Bob earned an MBA and an MS in management of information systems at the University of Pittsburgh's Katz Graduate School of Business and holds a BS in business and accounting from the University of Pittsburgh that Everybody's Talkin' About.

Robin Brun—Senior Designer
Favorite rocker: Jimi Hendrix
Are You Experienced? Well, Robin is! With nearly 20 years as a designer and art director, and the recipient of numerous industry awards throughout her career, Robin proves that her designs are on Fire.
All Along the Watchtower, her creativity and design expertise has spanned a vast array of projects for leading corporations and brands from Mead Paper Company, Time/Life Books, Hughes Aircraft, and Coca-Cola/U.S. Olympic Committee, to Huffy bicycles and even Harley Davidson.
As CommuniTech's senior designer, Robin manages all responsibilities required to produce leading-edge design—in both print and digital media. Robin earned an Associates Degree in Visual Communications (with an emphasis on Purple Haze) from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh.
Ain't No Telling what Robin will design next. Who Knows? But whatever it is, you can be sure that it will top the charts of creativity!

Don Simpson—Designer and Illustrator
Favorite rocker: Steely Dan
Any Major Dude Will Tell You that Don is a nationally known cartoonist who has created popular humor and adventure comic books for the entertainment industry. His most recent work is displayed in a Book of Lies called, Lies and the Lying Liars Who Tell Them by Al Franken.
In this Glamour Profession, Don is Reelin' In the Years by specializing in promotional comic books for business and cartoon character designs for branding, cartoon illustrations for editorial purposes, and distinctive "pop art" logo designs.
Don Set in Motion several of CommuniTech's and CommuniTech client's illustrative creations, including Marc Com, corporate mascot for CommuniTech; e-Sam, the cool, digital dude for 3 Rivers Connect's Digital Rivers initiative; Concoman, superhero and brand mascot for Conco Systems, Inc., and the Curette Crusader, superhero and brand mascot for Curetteblade, Inc.

Marc Com—Marketing Guru
Favorite Rocker: The Archies
With his funky spiky hair, trademark bow tie, and commas for eyes, Marc Com was created with a little Bang-Shang-A-Lang and Jingle Jangle to humorously and uniquely embody CommuniTech's realm of expertise and creativity.
Since his creation roughly 4 years ago, Marc adds a touch of Sugar, Sugar to CommuniTech's identity, effectively delivering our messages in an entertaining format. Our audiences, from customers to prospective customers, reporters and partners, have embraced Marc Inside-Out, Upside-Down. They instantly know who and what he stands for: a creative "marketing master" who takes his job seriously, but knows how to have fun doing it—he's always Feelin' So Good!
