CommuniTech enjoys partnering with organizations
and associations, especially when it means giving
something back to the community.
That’s why CommuniTech was a proud sponsor of the
“Here’s My Story VI” fundraiser, held November 12,
2003 at the Pittsburgh Steelers Training Complex in
the Southside.
The series brings together a select group of area
entrepreneurs and business executives, along with past and
present athletes, staff, and affiliates of the Pittsburgh
Steelers, for networking and fundraising as a key component
of the player’s development effort.
Last year’s event benefited Marvel Smith’s “Block &
Tackle Foundation,” which is an affiliate of the
National Heritage Foundation.
Each “Here’s My Story” event features a prominent
local executive and a Steelers player, alumni, or staff
member, who tell stories about their successes, their
failures, and lessons they’ve learned – whether on the
field or behind a desk.
The “Here’s My Story
VI” event featured
speakers Dan Rooney,
chairman of the
Steelers, and Sean
McDonald of
Precision Therapeutics.
“The Steelers’ Player Development program seeks to
challenge players to be lifelong learners while pursuing
continuous improvements with career development,
social interaction, family relations, and personal
growth during and beyond their NFL careers,” said
Anthony Griggs, director of player development for the
Pittsburgh Steelers. “As a result, this enables them to
be the best football players needed to be a part of our
team – both on and off the field.”
